How does the repair-estimate process work?
Bring your item to Fischer’s Jewelry so our team can take it in and evaluate the work needed. We will contact you with an estimate before beginning the repair. No jewelry-repair fee is charged before you receive the estimate and approve the work.
Watch repairs are handled differently and require a $25 deposit when the watch is taken in.
Will you begin the repair before contacting me?
No. We will contact you with the repair estimate and obtain your approval before beginning the work.
How long will my repair take?
Turnaround time varies depending on the condition of the item, the type of repair required, material or stone availability and the complexity of the work. Our team will provide more information about the expected timeframe after examining your piece.
Do you repair jewelry purchased somewhere else?
Yes. Fischer’s Jewelry accepts repair requests for jewelry purchased from other stores. Each item must be examined before we can confirm the available repair options and provide an estimate.
Are repairs completed onsite?
Most jewelry repairs are completed onsite. Certain specialized repairs or services may require additional handling. Our team will explain the process after evaluating your item.
How will I receive updates about my repair?
Our team will use the contact information provided at intake to share the estimate, request approval and notify you of important updates. Please make sure your phone number and other contact information are correct when leaving your item with us.
Can you provide a price without seeing the item?
Jewelry repairs must be evaluated in person before an accurate estimate can be provided. The condition of the metal, stones, settings and previous repair work may affect the services needed.
What should I bring when dropping off a repair?
Bring the complete item along with any loose stones, links, components or matching pieces related to the repair. Please also be prepared to provide current contact information so our team can reach you with the estimate and status updates.
